..Southport Charter Boats is a new local connection service based in the Southport/Oak Island area for folks looking to make the most of their time while visiting us in this beautiful region of our state. There's plenty of great folks on both sides of the business equation and it's my job to get them together. There are some excellent web sites that list charter boats and other services, but this one is solely dedicated to Southport and Oak Island. I'm a one man operation that's more-or-less doing this for free just to see what will come of it and 'cause I enjoy it. ..My friends and I live, work and fish in this area.. We know who gets the job done properly and puts forth the extra effort to assure a safe and enjoyable trip for their clients. Let's face it, booking a charter is expensive. And most of us do not get to do it very often. So it's best to try and maximize your potential for a good trip. No one can control the fish bite, but your captain, crew & chosen company will make all the difference in whether you have a positive or negative experience. These folks aren't making a fortune when you take into account the cost of the boat, fuel, upkeep and hired help. Most are doing it 'cause they love fishing and meeting new people..

..Hiring a charter can be daunting to the inexperienced and is mostly a crap-shoot without any local help. We talk with local fishermen, both private and commercial, every day. We know what's going on here and will do our best to get you on the fish.!!
